Albany MX Short Track Series

This race event is a fun, exhibition style series where the points don’t matter.

The series was created by Steven Kristoff and Brad Kelly in June 2021 in an effort to introduce new riders of all ages and skill level to a motocross track after the regular racing at Albany MX.

What’s a “short track?” It’s exactly what you think it is.

The Albany Short Track Series takes the regular motocross track and condenses it into a small race course that is competitive, safe, and fun for all ages.

This race style also helps reduce stress for new moto parents if/when their little rider falls; no more having to run for miles just to help your rider.

Each layout consists of jumps, corners, and track conditions each class can learn on.

Each race is a timed event.

Cost is $20 for a 30 minute open practice and an 8-10 minute exhibition race. If turnout is high, practice will be split into multiple groups, so every rider can get seat time and learn the course.

Each class who finish in the top 3 wins prizes from Gate Drop Productions, JBP, Gran Prix Cycle, and Broke Ass MX. There is no points standings per event.

We hope you come check out our short track series and tell your friends and family to come too!
